This café isn't just a place to grab a bite; it’s an experience woven with warmth, community spirit, and a genuine passion for wholesome food.

The menu at The Stoned Cow is thoughtfully curated, offering a delightful range of options that cater to various dietary preferences. If you’re in the mood for something more substantial, don’t miss out on their home-baked goods, known for their warmth and flavor. Pair your meal with a fresh juice - the Apple Juice or Pineapple Juice are both excellent options at just NZ$5.50. The café invites you to unwind, perhaps sipping on a perfectly brewed mocha – touted as the best many have had during their travels – in a cozy corner, whether alone with a book or in good company.

Real customers have repeatedly raved about their experiences. One visitor, 'Apescobra,' described it as a "gem" where homemade food meets genuinely friendly service. Another patron, 'Lloyd & Naomi Geange,' applauded the impressive gluten-free options and the artistic ambiance. For those road-tripping around New Zealand, ‘M L’ noted that despite a slight price tag on food, the mocha is worth the stop. And for parents, 'Pauline R' highlighted the well-equipped toddler area complete with shade and a sandpit, making it an ideal retreat for families.

In a world that’s often rushing, The Stoned Cow invites you to slow down, savor each bite, and enjoy the moment. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this café is a must-visit destination where art, food, and community come together in delightful harmony.

A great place to go. One of the best cafés I've found for range of gluten free options. Home baking delightful. Enjoy the bright cheery atmosphere inharnest by the creative art work. Owners put care love and passion into their business. You will receive the benefit.

I really loved my mocha, I’ve been roadtripping around NZ and this one is the best I’ve had so far. If I weren’t in a rush, this would have been a great place to sit, chat, and knit in. Only negative was the steep price of their food.

Got a toddler? Go here. The area out the back with a door that can shut and a sandpit in the shade is ideal for the little ones whose legs don't stop moving. And there is no surcharge for alt milks! Keto power bowl was tasty as.
